Everton news: David Moyes to focus on other targets as Southampton rebuff Tyler Dibling approach

Everton are ready to move on after their latest offer for Southampton starlet Tyler Dibling was rejected.

The Toffees have already made four additions this summer ahead of their maiden campaign at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Former loanee Carlos Alcaraz rejoined the club permanently, while shot stopper Mark Travers signed from fellow Premier League side AFC Bournemouth.

Arguably Everton’s most exciting summer additions, full-back Adam Aznou and forward Thierno Barry, have both moved to Merseyside from Bayern Munich and Villarreal, respectively.

Southampton reject Tyler Dibling approach

Tyler Dibling had a breakthrough season last term.

David Moyes is clearly not done there, with the Toffees understood to have made several bids for England U21 international Dibling.

According to David Ornstein, the Saints have rejected Everton’s latest approach worth £40million.

Southampton are believed to have set their asking price at £45milliom, plus £5million in easily achievable add-ons and a 25% sell-on clause.

The Saints’ price tag is reportedly above the Merseysiders’ valuation, who are now considering other targets.

Will Still’s side have no plans to reduce their asking price for Dibling, and consider the 19-year-old as key to their promotion push next season.

Who are Everton’s other summer transfer targets?

Everton will now turn their attention to other targets, with Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall expected to sign in the coming days.

The 26-year-old will sign a five-year deal with the Toffees in a £30million move, as per Fabrizio Romano.

Coming off the back of a FIFA Club World Cup triumph with the Blues, Dewsbury-Hall will be a superb addition to Moyes’ side.

Manchester City forward Jack Grealish is also understood to be a long-standing transfer target for Everton, however, any deal would likely be a loan.
