Having come through the Manchester United youth set-up, Elanga left Old Trafford in July 2023.
Signed by Nottingham Forest for just £15million, the winger has gone on to well and truly make a name for himself at the City Ground.
In his maiden campaign with the Reds, Elanga tallied an impressive 14 goal involvements.
However, the Sweden international bettered his return last season with 17 goal contributions in the English top flight.
Known for his electric pace and quick feet, the Swedish forward has evolved into one of the Premier League’s best wide players at Forest.
Having kept Chris Wood well-fed for the last two seasons, fellow countryman Alexander Isak will be licking his lips at the prospect of working with Elanga at club level.
This is certainly an excellent signing by Newcastle and will be a true test for Elanga to prove himself at the highest level.
