Blackburn Rovers news: Valerian Ismael keen on Saudi Pro League star to replace Tyrhys Dolan

After star forward Tyrhys Dolan left the club as a free agent last month, Blackburn Rovers have been hard at work to bring in a replacement.

The 23-year-old winger had a fantastic five-year spell with the Blue and Whites in which he accomplished 210 appearances in Lancashire.

With 48 goal involvements for Rovers, the Englishman shone in the attacking third during his spell at the club.

Dolan has become one of the most wanted unattached players in the Championship, and as one of the best attackers in the division, it begs the question as to why Blackburn let him leave for free.

What clubs are interested in Tyrhys Dolan?

Recent reports have confirmed that Dolan is open to a move abroad.

While subject to interest from clubs in Turkey, English sides Bristol City, Derby County and Wolverhampton Wanderers are all understood to be keen on the former Preston North End youth player.

Dolan is thought to prefer a move to the Premier League, although Samsunspor are leading the way abroad.

Blackburn Rovers still keen on Marwan Al-Sahafi

Marwan Al-Sahafi is certain to be on the move this summer.

Following a post on Instagram showing his arrival in Manchester, it seems as though a move to the North West is likely for Marwar Al-Sahafi.

Rovers are keen to replace Dolan with the Saudi Arabian, but face competition from fellow Championship clubs Queens Park Rangers and Watford.

The 21-year-old’s cryptic social media post could suggest that Blackburn Rovers are leading the race, and that an offer from Belgian side Royal Antwerp may have been rejected.

With his electric pace and creativity in the final third, Al Sahafi could make a very successful Dolan replacement.

Valerian Ismael is clearly being backed by the Venkys in a promising sign for the Rovers faithful.
