Arsenal news: Gunners close in on Noni Madueke as Leandro Trossard linked with move away

Arsenal are set to sign English forward Noni Madueke from London rivals Chelsea.

The Gunners have already bought in shot stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga and midfield duo Christian Norgaard and Martin Zubimendi this summer.

Mikel Arteta’s men are currently on a pre-season training camp in South East Spain.

With one eye on the upcoming Premier League campaign, the Spaniard is clearly still focused on bringing reinforcements to North London.

Arsenal to sign Noni Madueke

Arsenal have reportedly agreed a deal worth £52million with Chelsea for Madueke, as per Fabrizio Romano.

The 23-year-old is understood to have agreed a five-year deal at the Emirates Stadium and has been considered a ‘top target’ by Arteta.

Madueke is currently in the USA with Chelsea, who are set to face French side Paris Saint-Germain in the FIFA Club World Cup final.

The Gunners are also still said to be working on deals for Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres.

Leandro Trossard rumours squashed

Leandro Trossard celebrates a goal for Arsenal.

As part of the ‘transfer merry-go-round’ in N5, versatile forward Leandro Trossard has been linked with a move away.

Turkish giants Fenerbache have been rumoured to be interested in the Belgian this summer.

However, according to Romano, Jose Mourinho’s side have not been in concrete talks with the 30-year-old.

The Gunners are yet to receive any formal approach or bid for Trossard and have shown no indication that they want to sell the Belgian international.
