Premier League betting tips: Marcus Rashford linked with Barcelona amid Manchester United exit

Manchester United are set for a mass exodus this summer after a dismal campaign last term.

Several of the Red Devils’ biggest stars have been deemed surplus to requirements by boss Ruben Amorim, including forward Marcus Rashford.

The 27-year-old, who came through United’s famed youth set-up, joined Aston Villa on loan last January.

With 10 goal involvements in 17 appearances at Villa Park, the England international certainly impressed, but where could he end up next?

Well, look no further, as Transfer News Blitz gives you the rundown on which clubs are the bookies' favourites to sign Rashford.

Barcelona

Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.

Gary Lineker was the last Englishman to play for Barcelona’s men’s team, having spent three years in Catalonia before leaving in 1989.

Now, 36 years on, Rashford could be set to follow in Lineker’s footsteps.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Englishman has made a move to Barca a priority.

However, the LaLiga outfit have recently seen a move for Athletic Club’s Nico Williams fall through due to registration issues, so logistically a move does seem unlikely.

But, Barcelona president Joan Laporta is known for somehow bending the rules in his favour, so a potential deal is not completely off the cards.

Bayern Munich

Another side in the market for a forward this summer is Bayern Munich.

German international Leroy Sane has already left the Bundesliga champions for Galatasaray this summer, meaning the Bavarians are keen to bring in a replacement.

While it is no secret that Vincent Kompany has other targets on his shopping list, a move for the Man United man is certainly not out of the question.

Rashford could be convinced to swap Manchester for Munich, seeing as England teammate Harry Kane is loving life in Germany.

Manchester United

Of course, there is still a significant chance that the Mancunian will be forced to stay in Manchester.

Reportedly on a whopping £300,000-a-week, Rashford’s huge wages could be a stumbling block that stands in the way of his exit.

With that in mind, it certainly feels as though a loan move is more likely than a permanent one, even if there are only a small number of clubs able to fund a deal.

It would not be a surprise to see Rashford stay put in Manchester this summer, but it just depends on how interested prospective suitors are.

BEST ODDS: 7/1 (bet365)

Any Saudi Pro League club

Al-Hilal impressed at the FIFA Club World Cup.

There is one place that could pay Rashford’s mammoth wages - the Saudi Pro League.

Several of Europe’s biggest stars have made the move to Saudi Arabia in recent years with varying levels of success.

While it is not known whether the Englishman is open to a switch to the Middle East, money talks, and the riches of clubs like Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr could be tempting.

Having knocked Manchester City out of the FIFA Club World Cup, Al-Hilal has shown that several Saudi Pro League teams are actually quite good.

However, it is more than likely that Rashford will want to stay in Europe in order to play at the highest level in the Champions League.

BEST ODDS: 12/1 (Betfred)

Aston Villa

Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio on loan at Aston Villa.

Last, but certainly not least, Aston Villa have been tipped to re-sign their former loanee.

Rashford enjoyed a solid six months in the West Midlands, having helped Villa reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League, bowing out to eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain.

It feels as though Unai Emery & Co. have moved on and would not be willing to fund a big-money move for Rashford, with reinforcements in other areas of the pitch a priority.

That being said, another loan deal is a possibility, but unlikely.
