Liverpool news: Darwin Nunez exit edges closer as Harvey Elliott looks to leave Anfield

Liverpool duo Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott are set to depart Anfield this summer.

The Reds have made some massive signings ahead of the upcoming Premier League season, totalling upwards of £250million.

Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Jeremie Frimpong have all joined from the Bundesliga, while Milos Kerekez was brought in from AFC Bournemouth.

The Premier League champions are seemingly not done there either, with a deal to sign Newcastle United centre forward Alexander Isak still in the works.

However, at least for now, Arne Slot’s side appears to be focused on outgoings rather than incomings.

Darwin Nunez exit looms

Could Darwin Nunez have played his last game at Anfield?

With the possible addition of Isak, it looks more and more likely that Nunez could leave Merseyside.

Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Liverpool for the Uruguayan, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Simone Inzaghi’s side will pay the Reds €53million plus several achievable add-ons.

Negotiations are now well underway over personal terms, with Nunez thought to be open to the move.

Harvey Elliott set to leave

As per TBR Football, England U21 international Elliott is set to reconsider his Liverpool future in search of regular first-team football.

Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig are understood to be pushing hard for the 22-year-old, who they see as a possible replacement for Chelsea-bound Xavi Simons.

Head of Global Soccer at Red Bull and former Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is said to be a huge driving force behind the move.

Fellow Premier League sides Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are also interested in the midfielder.

With the World Cup next summer, Elliott is keen to break into the senior England fold, and Leipzig could offer a brilliant platform to do just that.
