Man City news: Who is set to leave the Etihad Stadium? Ederson and Rico Lewis linked with moves away
Manchester City duo Ederson and Rico Lewis have been linked with moves away from the Etihad Stadium this summer.
The Cityzens began as they meant to go on in their Premier League opener, as they steamrolled Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0 at Molineux.
Goalscoring machine Erling Haaland bagged a brace, while summer signings Rayan Cherki and Tijjani Reijnders rounded off the scoring.
City host Thomas Frank’s Tottenham Hotspur in their next match, before a trip to the South Coast against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Who has already left Manchester City?
Following a huge spending spree since the January transfer window, Pep Guardiola now appears to be focused on outgoings.
Most recently, Everton confirmed the signing of Jack Grealish on a season-long loan, while winter addition Vitor Reis also joined LaLiga side Girona until the end of the season.
Youngster James McAtee completed a £30million switch to fellow Premier League side Nottingham Forest last week, too.
Additionally, Kevin De Bruyne and Kyle Walker both left City earlier this summer, joining Napoli and Burnley, respectively.

Out with the old, in with the new?
Following an impressive campaign in the Championship with Burnley, Manchester City re-signed James Trafford this July.
The English shot stopper originally left Man City in 2023 in search of first-team football, but two years on, he is back at the Etihad Stadium.
But what does this mean for Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson?
The 32-year-old was left out of the Cityzen’s opening day win due to reported gastroenteritis, but it is unclear whether his career in Manchester is over.
With Trafford now off the mark with a clean sheet, it could be hard for Ederson to wrestle the starting spot back.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray are understood to be keen on the Brazilian international, with negotiations already underway.
The Turkish outfit’s opening offer of €10million is well under Manchester City’s valuation of €25million, with a huge gap between the two clubs.
Ederson is thought to be keen on a move to Okan Buruk’s side.

Rico Lewis to stay at Manchester City
Nottingham Forest have reportedly been pushing hard for Man City full-back Rico Lewis, as per Romano.
It is clear to see why Nuno Espirito Santo is such a huge fan of the 20-year-old, who is already an established first-team star at the Etihad Stadium.
The England international played 66 minutes in City’s victory over Wolves, with Guardiola keen for Lewis to stay put.
He said: “I think he’s going to stay, I think. He told me that.
“But, I said, maybe tomorrow, after tomorrow, it’ll change.”
“Rico [Lewis] is an extraordinary player,” the Spaniard continued.
“Today, today, I think he’s going to stay, but I don’t know what’s going to happen.”
If City decide to sell, the academy graduate would offer pure profit, which could prove tempting to adhere to the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.
That being said, it would be a surprise to see Lewis leave Manchester City this summer.
