Lursharel Geertrudia is a Black Cat

Following his arrival from Dutch club Feyenoord last season, Geertruida has been a rock in Leipzig’s defence.

The 25-year-old, who can play anywhere across the backline, has moved to the Stadium of Light on an initial loan.

Mainly a right-back, the Dutchman has begun to struggle for minutes, as Ridle Baku and Benjamin Henrichs have been preferred.

Geertruida will make a great addition for Sunderland, who are looking to survive the drop this season.

Lois Openda to leave

Since arriving in the Bundesliga, Openda has been one of the division’s most exciting forwards.

The 25-year-old has been linked with FC Bayern and Juventus this summer, but it appears as though the Old Lady are going to win the race.

Throughout 93 games for Leipzig, the Belgian has bagged an impressive 41 times and has built up a reputation for his blistering pace.

Openda certainly seems to be ready to take the next step to a title-challenging team.
