Arsenal news: Albert Sambi Lokonga and Fabio Vieira to complete Bundesliga switch
Arsenal look likely to be busy on Deadline Day, with several outgoings expected at the Emirates Stadium.
Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie is also set to complete a move to the Gunners, joining on an initial season-long loan with a mandatory buy option.
There have been plenty of huge incomings at N5 this summer, including Eberechi Eze, Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres, but now the focus is on departures.
Mikel Arteta & Co. have got off to a good start in the Premier League, having beaten Manchester United and Leeds United in their opening two fixtures.
However, the Gunners were bested 1-0 by reigning champions Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, in their first knock of the new campaign.

Albert Sambi Lokonga to leave
Out-of-favour midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga is set to leave the Emirates Stadium before the transfer window closes.
The Belgian has completed a medical with Bundesliga newcomers Hamburger SV, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The 25-year-old is understood to have put pen to paper on a permanent deal at the Volksparkstadion, as per Ben Jacobs.
It is safe to say that Lokonga’s time at Arsenal has not worked out as expected.
After signing from RSC Anderlecht in 2021, loan spells at Crystal Palace, Luton Town and LaLiga outfit Sevilla have followed.
Having made only 51 appearances across those three moves, it would be highly unlikely for the midfielder to break into Arteta’s plans.

Fabio Vieira to follow
Fellow midfielder Fabio Vieira is expected to follow Lokonga to Hamburger SV on Deadline Day.
As reported by Plettenberg, the 25-year-old is set to join Merlin Polzin’s side on a season-long loan, with an option to make the move permanent for €20million.
The Portuguese attacking midfielder will undergo his medical in the next hour, after a total agreement was reached between the two clubs.
Similar to Lokonga, Vieira’s time at the Emirates Stadium has not panned out as many would have hoped.
Having struggled with injuries, Vieria has been limited to just 49 appearances for the Gunners since 2022.
The midfielder spent last season on loan back at his boyhood club FC Porto, where he enjoyed mild success – six goals and five assists.
Now, Vieira looks primed for a move to Germany, as Arsenal continue to trim their squad.
