Premier League betting tips: Will Ollie Watkins leave Aston Villa? Newcastle United favourites
With little under two weeks until Deadline Day, Aston Villa centre-forward Ollie Watkins has been rumoured to depart the West Midlands.
Although the 29-year-old started up top in the Villans’ stalemate with Newcastle United last weekend, his time at Villa Park could be up.
According to TBR Football, Unai Emery is ready to part ways with the England international this summer.
However, any move could hinge on Aston Villa’s chase of Chelsea and Senegal striker Nicolas Jackson.
With that in mind, Transfer News Blitz’s Edward Moss provides the best betting odds on Watkins’ future.
Stay at Aston Villa
While Watkins could be set to leave Villa Park this summer, with Deadline Day on Monday, September 1, there may not be time for a deal to be completed.
The forward bagged an impressive 17 goals and 14 assists in all competitions last term, so still has plenty to offer Emery & Co.
That being said, anything can happen between now and Deadline Day, so if you fancy a bet on Watkins, you should chance your arm elsewhere.

Newcastle United
It is no secret that Newcastle United are on the lookout for a new centre-forward.
With Alexander Isak’s Magpies career seemingly over, and Brentford standing in the way of Yoane Wissa’s exit, Eddie Howe may well turn his attention to Watkins.
This certainly feels like a deal that could happen later on in the transfer window, if it is to happen, and the North East seems like a viable destination.
I could really see this one happening before Deadline Day.

Arsenal
Arsenal’s pursuit of Watkins in January was well documented, with the Gunners unwilling to meet Villa’s valuation.
Mikel Arteta has since brought in Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting to spearhead his frontline, after the Swede scored a whopping 54 goals last term.
It is highly unlikely that the Spaniard will look to bring Watkins to the Emirates Stadium, especially as the North Londoners are set to complete a deal for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze.

Manchester United
Similar to Arsenal, Manchester United have had a long-standing interest in Watkins, however, seem to have moved on.
The Red Devils signed Benjamin Sesko earlier this summer, alongside other attacking reinforcements, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.
Although if United can strike a cut-price deal with Aston Villa, it would not be a surprise to see the England international at Old Trafford.
However, it is understood that Ruben Amorim will need to trim his squad before making any more major signings.
Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Rasmus Hojlund have all been linked with a move away from the club.
