Man Utd news: Who will be next to leave Manchester United? Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund close to exits
Manchester United attacking pair Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund are set to leave the club ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.
There has been a huge exodus at Old Trafford this summer, with the likes of Christian Eriksen, Marcus Rashford and Victor Lindelof having already departed.
The Red Devils finished 15th in the Premier League last term, their worst league finish since 1974, prompting boss Ruben Amorim to take action.
Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha were brought in from Brentford and Wolverhampton Wanderers, respectively.
United also beat off significant competition to sign Slovenian centre forward Benjamin Sesko from Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.
Alejandro Garnacho to join Chelsea
With several high-profile incomings this summer, it has been made abundantly clear that Garnacho’s Manchester United career is over.
The Argentine had a big falling out with Amorim, having been dropped by the United manager for the Red Devils’ 1-0 Europa League final loss to Tottenham Hotspur in May.
After flirting with a move away all summer, it appears as though the 21-year-old is set to get his wish.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have stepped up their pursuit of the forward, having already reached an agreement on personal terms.
Club-to-club negotiations are reportedly well underway, with Garnacho expected to finalise a move to Stamford Bridge before Deadline Day on Monday, September 1.

Is Rasmus Hojlund’s Manchester United career over?
It appears as though out-of-favour forward Hojlund’s time at Old Trafford is also over, following the signing of Sesko.
The 22-year-old initially joined United in 2023 from Italian side Atalanta for £72million, however, it is safe to say that the move has not gone to plan.
With only four goals in 32 Premier League outings last season, a move back to Italy looks to be on the cards for the Dane.
AC Milan are understood to be advancing in a deal to bring the Danish international on a season-long loan, as per Romano.
The Italian giants would be required to pay a £5million loan fee, while also covering the entirety of Hojlund’s wages.
Massimiliano Allegri’s side will also have the option to make the purchase permanent for a reported fee of around £39million.
Hojlund had been understood to be ready to fight for his place at Man United, but is open to joining AC.
