Liverpool news: RB Leipzig eye Harvey Elliott as Kostas Tsimikas linked away from Anfield
Harvey Elliott and Kostas Tsimikas have been rumoured to depart Anfield, as Liverpool continue their impressive summer transfer business.
Attacking pair Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike have been brought in, alongside full-back pairing Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez.
The Reds have also made well over £200million from sales, with the likes of Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Trent Alexander-Arnold only a handful of the departures.
It appears as though the Merseysiders’ hard work in the transfer market has paid off, as they got off to a winning start in the Premier League.
Ekitike and Cody Gakpo gave Liverpool a two-goal advantage over AFC Bournemouth until an Antoine Semenyo brace levelled the score.
Arne Slot’s men left it late, but two goals from Federico Chiesa and Mohamed Salah secured a 4-2 victory.
Harvey Elliott set for Bundesliga move
England U21 international Elliott was an unused substitute as Liverpool beat the Cherries, in what could be a sign of his departure.
According to Florian Plettenberg, the 22-year-old is RB Leipzig’s top target to replace Xavi Simons, who is set to join Chelsea before Deadline Day on Monday, September 1.
The Bundesliga side are understood to have already agreed personal terms with Elliott, who is thought to want more regular first-team football.
Elliott played a bit part last term, making 18 appearances in the Premier League as the Merseysiders won the title.
Liverpool are reportedly keen to let the midfielder go if a suitable offer is to be made.
Of course, the Reds are looking to bring in as much money as possible as they continue their pursuit of Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.

Kostas Tsimikas expected to leave
Following the arrival of Kerkez from Bournemouth, Tsimikas has dropped even further down the pecking order at Liverpool.
Scottish full-back Andy Robertson remains at the club and is expected to play second fiddle to the Hungarian this season.
Consequently, Tsimikas is expected to leave Merseyside this summer, as per French outlet Foot Mercato.
Ligue 1 outfit Marseille are thought to be interested in the Greek international, who made 29 appearances in all competitions last term.
