Tottenham news: Thomas Frank keen to strike deal for West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus
Tottenham Hotspur have made West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus one of their top targets this summer.
With Champions League football on the menu next season, Spurs are keen to add an established Premier League star to their front line.
The North Londoners are reportedly keen on Bryan Mbuemo, however, the Brentford forward is still thought to prefer a move to Manchester United.
Whereas Crystal Palace and England star Eberechi Eze, who is also a target for Spurs, is understood to want a move to arch-rivals Arsenal.
Tottenham Hotspur make Mohammed Kudus approach
As per Pete O’Rourke, Tottenham have had an opening offer worth £55million rejected by West Ham for Kudus.
Despite the Ghanaian’s reported £84million release clause, the Hammers are believed to want around £65million, according to TBR Football.
The 24-year-old is said to be keen on a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.
Why do Tottenham Hotspur want Mohammed Kudus?
Mohammed Kudus had a frustrating campaign at the London Stadium last term.
Since Kudus arrived at the London Stadium from Ajax in August 2023, the Ghana international has been one of the Premier League’s brightest sparks.
In his maiden campaign in the English top-flight, the forward bagged a whopping 28 goal involvements in 48 appearances.
While Kudus certainly slowed down last term, with only five goals and four assists, the Ghanaian is still a top talent.
Direct, fast and powerful, Kudus is an absolute nightmare for defenders to deal with.
Combined with his quick, silky feet, the winger is one of the deadliest players in the Premier League with the ball at his feet.
Deployed out wide, up front and even in attacking midfield, Kudus’ versatility is also a huge attribute that could be key for a team like Tottenham Hotspur.
If Spurs decide to go all out and meet West Ham’s demands, the North Londoners will have a very dangerous attack heading into the upcoming Premier League campaign.
