Arsenal news: Who could depart the Emirates Stadium? Gunners to consider Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard exits

Arsenal are set to consider the exits of several first-team stars after what has been a huge summer of spending.

The Gunners spent an unprecedented £255 million on new signings ahead of the new season, but only managed to generate a measly £9 million in sales.

Mikel Arteta added the likes of Eberechi Eze, Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres to his ranks, among others.

That investment so far has paid off, with the North Londoners winning two out of their three Premier League games this season.

Despite a narrow loss to Liverpool, Arsenal have beaten Manchester United and Leeds United, leaving them third in the table.

Gabriel Jesus could depart

One of those rumoured to be in line to leave is Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus.

The 28-year-old is currently out with a long-term injury, having suffered a cruciate ligament tear against Manchester United in the FA Cup in January.

With only 27 appearances in all competitions last term, Jesus managed seven goals and two assists.

However, the Brazilian international may struggle to break back into the Arsenal line-up with Kai Havertz and Gyokeres to compete with.

The former Manchester City forward is expected to return from injury towards the end of November.

Is Leandro Trossard out of favour?

Following the Gunners’ impressive summer business, another player who could be forced out of the Emirates Stadium is Leandro Trossard.

Despite coming off the back of an impressive campaign, in which he bagged 20 goal contributions in all competitions, the Belgian is yet to make a start for Arsenal this season.

The 30-year-old has made a solitary appearance from the bench in the North Londoner’s 5-0 demolition of Leeds.

With the likes of Eze, Madueke, and Gabriel Martinelli to compete with, Trossard could well be sold to raise funds.
