Man Utd analysis: Have Manchester United fixed their issues? All of Ruben Amorim’s summer transfers ranked
With the Premier League set to get back underway after the international break, Manchester United will be hoping to get their season back on track.
Ruben Amorim’s side have so far lost to Arsenal, drawn with Fulham and beaten Championship runner-ups Burnley.
Not to mention the Red Devils’ embarrassing Carabao Cup exit to League Two minnows Grimsby Town.
Despite a slow start on the pitch, United have made significant additions off it this summer.
With five senior signings at Old Trafford and numerous departures, Transfer News Blitz’s Edward Moss has looked into the North West giant’s transfer dealings.
Benjamin Sesko: C+
Signed for £74 million from RB Leipzig
Several high-profile centre forwards were on the move this summer, with the likes of Alexander Isak joining Liverpool and Arsenal signing Viktor Gyokeres.
Not one to be left out, Manchester United also made a much-needed signing up front.
The Red Devils splashed the cash on Benjamin Sesko, who had impressed in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig.
The 22-year-old managed 21 goals in all competitions last term, as well as a further six assists.
While still young and full of promise, the Slovenian has not got off to the best start in Manchester and is yet to find the back of the net.
That being said, Sesko is still a good signing and deserves to be afforded some time to get up to speed in the Premier League.

Bryan Mbeumo: A
Signed for £65 million plus add-ons from Brentford
United fought off fierce competition to get a deal for Bryan Mbeumo over the line, and what a signing he is.
With 28 goal contributions in the Premier League for Brentford last season, the Cameroonian could turn out to be a deadly addition.
Already off the mark in a Manchester United shirt with two goals, Mbuemo is going to be key to any success for Amorim & Co.
Matheus Cunha: A
Signed for £62.5 million from Wolverhampton Wanderers
Matheus Cunha was brought to Old Trafford as yet another attacking recruit, and it is easy to see why the Red Devils spent big on the Brazilian.
The 26-year-old has arguably been United’s brightest spark this season, impressing with his raw pace and ball-carrying ability.
Although yet to find the back of the net, Cunha will be a vital cog in Manchester United’s campaign.
Last season, the Brazilian international bagged a huge 15 goals and six assists in the Premier League.
That tally is made even more impressive given that Cunha put up those numbers in a struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers side.
While it may take a bit of time for Cunha to acclimate to the pressure of playing for Manchester United, all the signs point to this being a superb signing.

Diego Leon: C+
Signed for £3.3 million plus add-ons from Cerro Porteno
It is hard to really rate Diego Leon, who was certainly signed as ‘one for the future’.
Yet to really be involved in the United first-team, the youngster did make the bench against Grimsby Town, but was an unused substitute.
It remains fairly unclear what, if any, role Leon will play at Carrington this season, although it is unlikely to be with the senior squad.
Brought in from Paraguayan outfit Cerro Porteno, the Red Devils clearly saw something impressive in the 18-year-old.
Senne Lammens: B
Signed for £18.2 million plus add-ons from Royal Antwerp
With uncertainty between the sticks at Old Trafford, Manchester United took the plunge on a new senior goalkeeper.
Belgian shot stopper Senne Lammens was added from Royal Antwerp, even though the Red Devils had reportedly agreed personal terms with World Cup winner Emiliano Martinez.
There will be heaps of pressure on the 23-year-old, who will need to hit the ground running in Manchester.
While Lammens is not the experienced head many United supporters would have wanted, he is a promising young keeper.
Who can forget the legacy David de Gea left after a fairly rocky start to life with Man United?
It would be harsh to write Lammens off before a single appearance, but the Manchester United higher-ups will hope that their risky signing pays off in the long run.
PL ANALYSIS: Premier League analysis: How did Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres perform? Manchester United vs Arsenal
Departures: A
With an inflated wage bill and several wantaway stars, Manchester United needed to trim their squad this summer, and they did just that.
Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund all departed on loan, while the likes of Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof left at the end of their contracts.
Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho secured a move to Premier League rivals Chelsea after flirting with the Blues since January.
The 22-year-old had a significant falling out with Amorim in May, when he was dropped for the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur.
Another forward to leave permanently was Antony, who rejoined Real Betis, where he spent a portion of last season on loan.
Goalkeeper Andre Onana also looks set to join Turkish side Trabzonspor on loan, after falling out of favour.
It is safe to say that United got rid of all the ‘bad eggs’ in their squad, something that significantly hindered them last term.
Overall, the Red Devils had a good summer, which could be a strong platform that they can kick on from in years to come.
