Newcastle Utd news: Will Alexander Isak ever play for Eddie Howe again? Swede to force move from St. James’ Park
Newcastle United and Alexander Isak have reached a fresh stalemate as the Swede looks for a way out of St. James’ Park.
The 25-year-old has been one of several points of frustration for Eddie Howe & Co. this summer.
The Magpies have also missed out on a host of top targets, including Hugo Ekitike, James Trafford and Joao Pedro.
Most recently, the North East outfit lost out on Benjamin Sesko, who opted to join Manchester United from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig instead.
Will Alexander Isak leave Newcastle United?
Having been exiled during pre-season, Isak is reportedly adamant that he will never play for Newcastle United again, according to David Ornstein.
The Sweden international is understood to have no wish to reintegrate at St. James’ Park and considers his Newcastle career as over.
Reigning Premier League champions Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for the wantaway star this summer, despite having already spent over £250million.
Isak has reportedly already approved personal terms at Anfield ahead of a prospective move.

Newcastle United still keen on a striker
While Newcastle United maintain their stance that Isak is not for sale, the Magpies are still exploring the transfer market.
Howe is keen to bring in another striker, with Brentford forward Yoane Wissa at the top of the Englishman’s shopping list.
As per Fabrizio Romano, negotiations between Newcastle and the Bees are underway, with the 28-year-old said to be pushing for a move to the North East.
Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson and Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani were among the other names considered by the Tyneside hierarchy.
It is highly likely that Newcastle will bring in a centre forward before deadline day on Monday, September 1, regardless of Isak’s future.
