Liverpool news: Who could Arne Slot target next? Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton keen on Anfield move
Crystal Palace and England star Adam Wharton has reportedly prioritised a move to Liverpool over other clubs.
Despite not being at their best, the Reds have been flying so far this season as they look to retain their Premier League title.
Mohamed Salah scored a 94th-minute winner against Burnley at the weekend as Arne Slot’s men maintained their perfect start.
The Merseysiders have also beaten AFC Bournemouth, Arsenal and Newcastle United to sit top of the tree after four games.
Next up, Liverpool host LaLiga outfit Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Liverpool eye Adam Wharton
Now the Merseysiders have reportedly set their sights on their next transfer target.
Liverpool are understood to be long-standing admirers of Crystal Palace midfielder Wharton, who is thought to be keen on a move to Anfield.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the 21-year-old wants to sign for the Reds, despite interest from Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
The Eagles have set a price tag between £60 and £70 million for the England international, who has impressed at Selhurst Park since his move in January 2024.
Following his £22 million switch from Championship side Blackburn Rovers, Wharton has gone on to make 49 appearances for Palace and earned his first senior England cap.
Wharton, of course, played a huge role in Crystal Palace’s recent FA Cup and Community Shield triumphs.
However, after a huge summer of spending, would Liverpool be able to fund a deal for the young defensive midfielder?
One thing is certain, though, Wharton is set for a huge move in the very near future.
