Uncertain times for James Trafford
James Trafford returned to the Etihad Stadium this summer, two years after leaving the Cityzens in search of regular first-team football.
The 22-year-old rejoined Manchester City in a deal worth £27 million, having reportedly turned down a move to Newcastle United.
Brought in to replace the outgoing Ederson, Trafford has had a mixed start with Man City.
The England international oversaw City’s opening day victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers, but had days to forget against Brighton and Spurs.
With the arrival of Gianluigi Donnarumma from Paris Saint-Germain, Trafford’s position at Manchester City has now been plunged into uncertainty.

Gianluigi Donnarumma makes his mark
Man City forked out £30 million for Donnarumma on Deadline Day, who certainly did not come to Manchester to sit on the bench.
Guardiola opted to start the Italian against United – a decision which ultimately proved to pay off.
The 26-year-old, who won the Champions League with PSG last term, showed his quality against the Red Devils with a clean sheet on debut.
But where does this leave Trafford?

James Trafford to leave Manchester City?
With the World Cup on the horizon next summer, Trafford will need to play if he is to make Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the competition.
The Three Lions have the likes of Everton’s Jordan Pickford, Newcastle United duo Aaron Ramsdale and Nick Pope, and Crystal Palace shot stopper Dean Henderson all in contention to make the squad.
According to TBR Football, Trafford would be open to a loan move in January if his situation does not change.
Manchester City are reportedly aware of the situation and the potential issues which could arise from it.
