Man Utd news: Rasmus Hojlund set for Serie A return with Antonio Conte’s Napoli
Out-of-favour forward Rasmus Hojlund is edging closer to leaving Manchester United this summer.
The Red Devils have had a less-than-ideal start to their Premier League campaign this season.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal nicked a smash-and-grab victory at Old Trafford thanks to a Riccardo Calafiori header in both sides’ opener.
While most recently, United were frustrated by Fulham thanks to former Gunner Emile Smith Rowe.
There is still plenty of work to be done this summer by Ruben Amorim, with more departures expected.

Rasmus Hojlund to return to Italy
One of those understood to be on the way out of Old Trafford is Danish centre-forward Hojlund.
Negotiations between Manchester United and Serie A champions Napoli are thought to be at the final stages, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian outfit are set to sign the 22-year-old on a season-long loan with a mandatory obligation to make the move permanent.
Talks on personal terms are already well underway, with former Chelsea manager and current Napoli boss, Antonio Conte, pushing to get the deal done.

Who else could leave Manchester United?
The Dane is not the only player set to depart the Red Devils this summer.
Wantaway winger Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly edging closer to joining Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea.
While forward duo Anthony and Jadon Sancho have also been made surplus to requirements by the Manchester United hierarchy.
However, it is yet to be seen whether either will be able to secure moves away from Old Trafford before Deadline Day on Monday, September 1.

Why is Rasmus Hojlund being forced out?
It has been a difficult 12 months for Hojlund, who struggled to make a real impact for United last season.
While the forward was able to bag 10 goals last term, only four of those came in the Premier League.
Paired with the addition of Benjamin Sesko from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, as well as Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, minutes would have been sparse for Hojlund this season.
That being said, a move back to Italy could be the breath of fresh air that the Danish striker needs.
Hojlund managed an impressive 13 goal contributions in his last Serie A campaign in the 2022/23 season, which ultimately secured his £72million move to Manchester.
Undoubtedly talented and still young, Hojlund could prove to be a good signing for Napoli in the long run.
Naples has become somewhat of a haven for Manchester United outcasts, with the likes of Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku both flourishing.
